Kid on my dorm floor...could he get in legal trouble??

alright so there is this kid on my floor who is kinda a wierd large deuchey kiddd and he has this check book...he says he got this book from a restaurant he worked for where he was the manager...he used the checks there for supplies and ingredients and all the checks were in his name...soooo the restaurant went under and lost all their money...he was left out to dry without being paid a few paychecks...he still had this checkbook so a few weeks ago he started using it to buy rediculous shit...he bought a 57 inch flatscreen tv, bluray system with surround sound for like 700, and then he bought 2 itouches for two kids and a router for the hall...he cant take any money out of the account and he can only use the checks...what the fuck is he doing here?? could he be destroyed by the legal system cause shouldnt the account be frozen...last week he got a notice saying it was under 5,000...how much shit could he get in and what kind of shit....
sorry if its helter skelter this is the third fuckin time ive written this cause i keep screwing up and posting when i have no internet!!!

any thoughts people???

They will always look at the guy with his name on the account first before anyone else. I think when they walk in and see the 57 plasma and blu ray system, they might have a hunch of who did it.

This sounds like some major crimes though. The worst part is this piece of shit stole from some place while they were down. I have no problems stealing from a big firm making lots of money, but a restaurant that went under? That's fucked up.

its Wills on Central hahaaa...yahhh i'll let you know what goes down..itll prbaly take another week or two just cause it takes a month for checks to bounce and he made the first purchase liiike 2 weeks ago...we'll see what happens haha

Haha I saw him in K-mart the other day when I was browsing for a halloween costume.  He was being a creep like normal haha.  I don;t know what kind of hi quality items he was looking for though because they don;t have an electronics section I don;t believe.

first off, i don't really know how they let him pay in cheque, its extremely rare that any store would do something like this. but there is a legal loophole, if you are a minor, and you pay in a cheque and cancel it, you can keep all of the stuff because the store is not allowed to come after a minor. it's pretty retarded but so is the law system. so hopefuly your friend is a minor or else there probably gonna come after him.

yah i really dont understand it unless he's actually using his own money and buying shit for people and just saying its not his which would be straight retarded...so far he is good and he really claims that the owner said he could have the money cause the owner was a "millionaire" but what kind of millionaire owns a restaurant and lets it go under...i was sooo fuckin pissed today...he went to the ski rack and bought a pair of this years Sir Francis Bacons and a pair of new AR5 and gave the SFB's to his roommate...those are pretty much my dream skis!!! FUCK HIM AND HE PAID WITH ANOTHER CHECK!!!

I don't really think he'll get in that much trouble. It's his name on the checks, and thus his name on the account. He's just going to have massive debt for a long time, probably have all his shit repossessed. It'll be funny seeing him try to get a loan in the future. He's going to have to declare bankruptcy before he's 21.
