need some help with skis

5'11, 195 lbs, Advanced Skier
Looking for primarily Jib ski, as i usually ski 98% park
Looked at mainly Surface, Moment, and Icelantic Skis

Asking for contributions or suggestions in what ski to get, and also need help with binding selection

These skis will be primarily used for Rails, and a lil bit of jumps, and pow

Anything you guys have to contribute will equal +++KARMA!

Im about you size (6 foot and 190 lbs) and i was recomended last years t-hall in 176, from what iv heard its the same as this years constructron wise and the only difference is the top sheet graphic.

T-halls is a great jib ski. i aboslutley love them and Armada in general. So durable, you can't go wrong. nd no they made the flex stiff starting from this years ski (the one with black top sheet and lion). The moment reno jibs are also great. They are a little stiffer. but still an overall solid jib and jump ski.

Moment night trains. They are my dream ski and even though they are pretty damn fat they were soo fun in park and theyll be good for your powder days and pretty much watever else u wanna do

Whats the best Moment ski for Rails? Im really into doing fun stuff, like butters, nollies, into rails, so would rocker or jibs be good?

6'1" 185lbs. I ski 9thward Le Comte's. (176 cm) Really awesome park ski, not too soft or stiff, very lively and light as well. My only complaint is top sheet durability. I've mashed them for 6-8 hours a day every day from early jan to late april. Only one edge crack. Decked/overshot jumps as well (on purpose of course!) and they stood up like champs. My favorite park ski, and in the past I've been on volkl, dynastar, rossi, and salomon.

^ and thats on jumps from the smallest of small all the way up to the biggest, super solid. Fun in pipe too, but im not much of a pipe rider, so I dont frequent there.

Great pop. Uh, only way they would be diff from other skis on rails is that they have a 80mm wasit, so they sit a bit narrower than most. Light, low swing weight. (I have mine centered, and yes they are a assymetrical ski) Like I said, other than topsheet, no complaints.

1. The Rocker comes a 181, which would be the PERFECT size for someone of your height/weight/skill level.

2. Rocker's are insanely light for their size and slaughter rails, great pop, also symmetrical design.

3. The rockered part of the ski makes it extremely butterable and a little more useful outside of the park.


I would suggest these with a pair of Mojo 15's or maybe a pair of Jesters if you can drop the skrilla.

Is the rocker so much on it that ill keep slipping out?

Is there a chance of them snapping even easier because they are rockered?

Do the last long on rails or the like? I also do a lot of creative urban, and stuff

Px12 Jibs? would you reccomend those?

The Alpha 2's might be good. with the rocker it would still be fairly decent when you do ski powder and ive heard a lot of good things about them in the park too

1. Rocker isn't so great you would have a problem with that. If I recall right the rocker is a 5/20, meaning the tip will stand 5mm off the snow and the rocker starts 20cm from the tip or the tail. Hopefully that makes sense.

2. I've never heard of ANYONE snapping a pair of these. They have a full wood core (Ash and Aspen) plus Moment is inanely good with their warranty and customer service.

3. Durability on Moments is pretty insane. I don't know how well they would last after a year of hard urban and park use, but quite honestly I don't think any ski is meant for both.

4. I'm never recommending Look-style bindings to anyone ever again. I hate them. Heavy and poorly constructed IMO. And if you're 195 lbs and doing mostly park and urban I doubt a 12 DIN binding is enough for you.

Im just worried about it looking like i have to boat hull shapes on my feet, and im just like rolling back and forth from nose to tail trying to ski haha

Yea i think those will be good... 675$ pretty steep so maybe last years...

What bindings do you find the best? or that you like? Thanks for the Help too
