Tight bro. I guess you could call me on the extreme side. With how I hunt. I don't always hunt like that, but mostly. Once a year Ill go on an elk hunting "trip" but mostly I deer hunt right out off my back porch.
Your forgetting the oppurtunity cost they get out of the meat they harvest. They are willing to pay more for it because it brings them more utility such as, higher quality meat than beef, chicken, ect., they derive some sort of pleasure from the whole experience such as being away from their wives, being in nature, getting exercise, ect. Also for some people the cost of the meat is actually considerably less. For example some people could spend $400 dollars on a rifle, ammo, license and go out your backdoor and hike into the woods and shoot an multiple elk and deer along with other wild game at a small cost for all the meat they could harvest along with their other family members doing the same with the same rifle at different times. For some people its extremely economical as far as their location and lifestyle.
AND: What about the positive qualities that you get from hunting that you wouldn't get by sitting at home and playing Xbox and then driving to the store and buying a steak. When you hunt you learn patience, perserverance, you learn to take responsibility for your actions, insight, planning skills, you learn to deduce and induce......... and the list goes on.
whoops sorry Alex i thought you meant "sick" like that's terrible, not "sick" like FUCKING SICK BRO! Guess i shoulda read the stuff you quoted haha. anyways it still aplies to anyone who doesn't like hunting.
Not trying to be a dick but..those moose are pretty small ESPECIALLY the second one. Must be the food in the area.

My uncle just got back and he shot a 1500 lb Bull with a 60 inch rack. I think the B&C score was 210?
theres this thing called the food chain. were on top for a reason. yes i do get a thrill out of hunting. why? because im human. it isnt because i just killed sumthing. theres a satisfaction of going into the woods for days hiking around and killing an animal that i will get to enjoy at the dinner table. you eat meat that has been pumbed full of chemicals and been treated inhumanly. so there fore you contribute to more animal cruelty than any ethical hunter does.
exactly! were i used to live the elk population was around 10,000 elk for a region wich was aprox 80 miles long and 30 wide. the human poulation was around 30,000. you could only imagine the problems. disease, starvation, farmers crops were ruined. do to good wild life management the population is now down around 6000 a more manageable and healthier enviroment for the elk and humans.
No the thousands of years argument is completely acceptable. With out hunting we would't be here dumb fuck
I do get enjoyment out of hunting, but not in the way you think, go back and read my older posts, I guess you haven't taken the time to read them. While doing so I can harvest myself some food. Hunting is something humans do.
Think of this sir, you eat meat right? You could say that slaughter houses are hunting pens. Except the animals are just trapped for their whole life, and are going to be killed.
Hunting is a completely sound and viable way of harvesting meat. END OF STORY!
I don't understand what you made that bold for? I got a 1x1, is that a trophy. In the record books, no that would be absolutely nothing. I guess you could call it a trophy in the sense that I earned it, with many days of hard work.
Hunting is necessary dude. Have you ever heard of chronic wasting desease, blue tung, malnutrition, or over population? Just thought I would throw that out there. What about if there is a natural desaster and people like you cant buy your food at the store, or go to a restaurant? It will be important to have hunters to teach the skill. If nobody did it, we would be. Fucked.
I am sorry about calling you a dumbfuck, your right I get really pissed when people can't understand the fact that hunting is something that will be around as long as people are. But really with out hunting do you think cave men would have survived? I think not, I guess it is possible, but highly likely.
For the record, I kind of agree with you on the sport thing. I personally don't think of hunting "for me" as a sport. I think of it as a lifestyle, and a tool.
You obviously didn't read all my other posts.
