Sierra Nevada College

Well im currently a seinor in high school, doing my college search and i stumbled accros this small college in lake tahoe, Its a liberal arts school that specializes in business degrees,  but the part that i think anyone can appreciate here is it basically with  an hours dirve of some really great ski resorts including heavenly, so my main question, what has everyone heard about it? has anyone gone there, and yes i know it cost a lot to go, almost $30 grand with room and board, but other than that, it looks like a really good school from the hour or so of research i've done on it.

i got in there and when i visited i realized there was about as many kids there as my group of friends back home (sooo popular!!) but other then that its a beautiful place with world class resorts about as close as you can get

I thought about it but its too small....

30 grand is a ton of money for school and if you have 30k for school you might as well go to Boulder...its like 40k

3 of my friends go there, there sophomores, havent visited yet so cant tell you much.

its small and there is no real town around the campus i guess. classes are really easy and you build your schedule around the days you want to ski.

yo go to school in mammoth, they have housing and shit. thats where i am right now. check it cerro coso college, mammoth campus.  the apartments have a website as well its like mammothapartments.org but im not sure just google that shit.

sweet, and its has business degree which is kinda what i wanted to study, that or engineering, but anyway, haven't heard too many negative things, but the price, and yes its alot of money, but if you pay that much for school, you know your gonna get a good education and have a great time at the same time, but i would only go for two years, go to my local community college for my AA and then tranfer the sierra.

yeah i was looking into that place too. when i went out to lake tahoe for a week we went through it to check it out, and it was really small. i took it off my list cause it has like no kids there and if i remember correctly it was something like 12% of freshmen end up graduating

Ohh haa iv been there! its real pretty there and everythings real new. The school sounds real easy from what i hear but they offer alot of sweet classes and programs. The dorms are pretty small but nice still. Its dry campus and they have kick ass school cab system. Umm it has a skate park thats a small bowl type.. umm not too much real close around it... Real nice location for skiing and the passes are cheep. It is Really small and has a 100% acceptance rate. They give decent financial aid though.

yeah acording to college board 73% of the students get finical aid, which is nice, because i can only afford one year to this school, lol
