Salomon z10?

Okay so I am looking into getting what i believe is this years z10 salomon binder.  So i guess this would be the 2009-2010 z10 and i really need some advice or info on how they hold up, weight, ect. And dont say search bar cause i did and theres nothing on this years'

they're really light, but they don't hold up at all.  if you release switch and the brake drags, a plastic part in the heel piece will often break, which messes the brake assembly up altogether.  they tend to prerelease too in my experience with them

solid binding if you are never in the park, landing jumps, bumps, glades, etc. This binding is designed for carving and frontside use. Salomon has even said that this is NOT the binding for anyone doing any sidecountry/backcountry/park/urban skiing. They recommend the STH12 for someone like that.

Get the STH12 if you're going Salomon in the park and don't need a higher DIN than that.

Wait up guys.  Before you start panicking listen to this.  I rode mine all last year in the park.  They held up fine and never pre released.  They will work fine and won't break for at least 20+ days (that is how long I rode them, and they will most likely hold up longer).

It's true that the Z10 is a binding that is designed for skis that stay on the ground and the STH series is designed for skis that leave the ground... but it also depends on how big you are and how hard you are on your gear.  If you're 200 lbs and ski like a drunken gorilla, then you are def going to have problems.  But if you are pretty light, and relatively easy on your gear then you might not have that many issues.

I skied these all last season on my chronics, absolutely no problems. I'm also 5'4'' and around 119lbs so  I"m not exactly the aforementioned drunken gorilla. I skied park with them to, decently sized jumps and hard landings never pre released them. I'm riding them at a 6.
