PS2 connect wireless from a computer?

I have a question. Right now when i want to play my playstation online, i have to turn off he computer modem and turn on a seperate modem for the playstation. i also right now have a wireless-b linksys router which connects 2 of my computers online together. what i was wondering wasif i could get a certain wireless network adapter that i could also connect to to the router so i can use my playstation also.Do u know what it is. Thank you.

well, its possible..
What u need to go do is buy an external USB wireless ethrenet card, hook it up through the USB, put in the Network adapter Cd and see if you can choose it as a device.. it SHOULD work, but it really depends on the USB ethrenet card you buy.. i dont have one, but i have heard it works..

i thought you could buy wireless adapters for ps2, they must have them since xbox has them and i think i saw it before

You can do it by buying either an ethernet bridge - which will change the ps2 network adapter into a wireless device, or you can buy a wireless ps2 network adapter (not made by Sony though, I think linksys makes it).
As far as a I know putting a regular usb wireless adapter on the PS2 does NOT work - there may be certain types that may work...but I haven't yet seen any in action....

linksys makes a wireless game adapter that works for PS2, XBOX and I believe gamecube, it just has to set up close to a wireless network

well i have a linksys broadband router like 10-20 feet away. but would it connect with a wireless-b broadband router?

yeah..there is a universal wireless adapter..works for ps2 and xbox..snag that
