This is pretty simple. It's not a skier-snowboarder issue, it's a respect issue. If Tom and Will set up a bunch of features and random crews started hitting them, and trashing and stealing their shit, you would all be screaming about it. Just build your own stuff. It'll be more original and you won't have to worry about pissing anyone off. Sound like a lot of work? Yeah, it is. That's why these guys are bummed.
It doesn't make a difference that it's on public land. If you park your car at the park-n-ride, does that mean I should be able to smash your window? I mean, you left it on public land, right?
Please be respectful: to boarders, skiers and people in general. Whether you like it or not, when you put skis on you are representing a sport and a culture with a long and proud heritage. Don't make us look like douche bags.
