Replying to Letterboxing dvds.

Now I realize this might be one of the stupidest questions i will ask.

but anyway. i do not shoot widescreen i shoot 720x480 and a 4:3 aspect ratio.

when i put my footage onto dvd and play it on the tv im losing some pixels off the sides. I do not own a widescreen tv.

but when i preview it in encore i havent lost anything from the sides.

how do i get around this? i need something to tell the dvd player to letterbox it to include everything i guess? i dont think i want to letterbox the video itself BEFORE i burn...because its already at 720x480...

if this made no sense i can elaborate more
