K2 Kung Fujas review

I just picked up a pair a few weeks ago, sooo pumped, seems like such a fun ski. Especially excited to see how the wider footprint is like in the park.

really fun ski. the carve and float well. good for park too. the only down side is they chatter when you hit high speed.

why wouldnt you just get the obsethed? they have more effective edge more rocker and arent that much fatter. they seem like such better ski.

you lookin to get last years or this years? I rode last years and they are great for everything I experienced east coast park and groomers.
This years in sure will ride closer to the obsethed because they have the same rocker design.

They are pretty soft skis, especially in the nose. The tails are noticeably stiffer but all around they are relatively soft, not too soft for the bigger jumps though, definitely stable. Pretty baller for butters and shit too, can't wait to get on mine. PM me during the season and I can tell you more.

i want something i can take from big mountain to groomers with ease

i hear the Kung Fujas are good for that

yeah you are spot on for that. I was told the both the obsethed and the kung fujas were going to have either the 10/20 or the 5/30 rocker, but both be the same. But I was misinformed.
Kung Fujas kill everywhere. If I recall they are 95mm underfoot and have camber underfoot which is perfect for killing everywhere.
The obsethed are stiffer and a 105mm underfoot with a slightly bigger rocker. To be honest the rocker on the obsethed wont hinder you because its not too much of a difference but the thing that will get you is the no camber underfoot on the obsethed. The 105 underfoot and the stiffness might get you in the park and on the ice.

obsethed has camber too. i wish a k2 rep would post in this cuz i definitely think they screwed up the rocker numbers for these two skis. and the seths felt soft when i flexed em in my shop just like the kung fujas flexed. there was not a major diff in flex so just based on that i would take the wider seth with bigger rocker

anyone know how they compare to the anthem or elizabeth it terms of flex? i know they are stiffer underfoot, but are are the nose and tail about the same as the anthem and lizzie? not to thread jack, but would this ski be comparable to an anthem, but a little bit of rocker?

the kung fujas seems like a good ski, but im finding a hard time justifying the price when you can find anthems for under $300.

The camber is so minimal it might as well not be there on the obsethed. I also think they are a little stiff when you ride them. But that may be placebo affect from being told they are.

As for anthems... The Kung Fujas have an advantage at that they offer it in 189 and have the mini rocker. I rode the 189 Fujas last year with out the rocker and it has been my favorite ski I have ever owned (tied with the OG AR5s at least). I did ride the obsethed and I am going to be buying it this year because I wanted the added stiffness and width underfoot.

But if price is a factor, the fujas wont be on the top of the list because you almost have to get them new or demoed to get the rockered ones.
