restoring deleted files on mac osx

i accidently deleted a folder and din't realize it until after i empted the trash! any chance way of restoring deleted files after emptying the trash? please help if u can!

is there a Norton for mac? any program like that could retrieve it for you. Don't save anything else though.

the file still shows up in recent documents so i thought you could still access it from there, but no dice sorry

ya i think the norton idea is your only hope
i tried getting it thru recent documents, recent in the program it was from, and thru a search. the comp remembers it but wont let you retrieve it

heres why you don't want to save anything. When you delete something it doesnt actually delete it. It just marks that space useable for other information. Norton can retrieve the files if they haven't been written over already.

and i hae norton and i opened unerase and it doesnt give me the option to select that hard drive i cant figure out how to use it!

Its like the comercial about macs vs. PC's posted a while ago and how he lost a file so he went AAAAAAHHHHHHH ran around to get the latest norton file, but fuck it you own a mac. the shit is gone.

^um no it's not, it was my fault i delteted it by accident. and i just downlaoded norton illegaly so i could do that one thing but norton is a piece of shit on both mac and pc. it would have been exactly the same on my hp dumbfuck it was stupidity.

if you downloaded something then it your files might be gone. Or they might still be there. It's kind of luck when you're recovering a file.
