Replying to HALP!

first off i'm on a mackook

ok so i ran the download to run itunes 9 and it installed although i can't get the itunes store to run. A popup said i needed to run the software update since itunes 9 needs safari 4.3 to operate.

I try and run the software update but it just stalls about 1/8 into the download. So then i try and run a separate download of only safari 4.3... it finishes but won't allow me to run it because i don't have the new mac os x or whatever the hell it is.

Then i try and download the new mac os x and after it finishes it wouldn't let me install it.
FML

I want the itunes store up and running so i can purchase Pretty Good and EDIAS.
