Punx vs Alpha 1

Well the rocker on the Alpha series is designed for easier presses and butters without catching edges so if that's what you like to do go with those. They also have a lower swing weight so spins on, during, and off rails will be easier. I'd go with the Alphas, but punx are pretty sick too.

The punx would be way soft for you.  If I were you I would deffenetly go for the Alpha 1's.  

i guess the alphas will be better for buttering and carving off of jumps since they have a very short radius of 14 m i think, and are rockered (slightly). so theyll be good for doing corks and shit, since its easier to carve off of the lip. however they are more expensive and not symmetrical, so if u want to do alot of switch riding, then the punx might be better.
the punx are a solid ski, symmetric, relatively playful, but not to the extent of the alpha. i think the punx is a little heavier though. so if that bothers you, the alpha might be ur weapon of choice.
swingweight wise, id go for the punx if ur more into rails since they are symmetric.

maybe also consider the volkl walls in 185 if u want to go longer and a bit stiffer, or also consider the ON3P blue steele. ON3P is a really legit company.
if ur looking into a more soft ski, for butters and jibs then go for the disorderly from k2.
like all k2 skis, they might be a bit heavy for some peoples likings, but the disorderlys have lower profile tips and tails than most k2 skis. many people like that.
moment reno jibs might be worth considering too though they are pretty darn stiff. or the rockers if ur more into butters.

you basically cant go wrong with any of these skis.

ya, just take a look into those skis. maybe demo them before purchase.
dont go for suspects tho, since they break very easily, like they did for a lot of my friends and many people here on ns. the warranty is also very bad from salomon for these skis.

I also forgot to mention that i can get discounts on almost every skis except from small companies like on3p and moment. So even if they seem to be awesome skis, i won't be getting them. Thanks for the info though

Alpha 1's are probably one of the funnest skis I've ever ridden. Took me probably half a day to get used to them then they skied amazingly.

I've got the 182's as well, and honestly, they feel a little short, but that also came into the part of taking about half a day to figure out how to ride them.  It's not that bad.
