Replying to Wide-angle lens adapter help + K

Hey guys,

I want to get a wide angle lens adapter for my Camcorder (Samsung HMX20 C) and dSLR (Canon 400D).

I found this on ebay:

It will fit on my

Canon EF 50mm f1.8 II Lens

and my camcorder if I get the right step-up adapter. It says 0.7X wide angle, is that good or bad? Will it actually work?!

My other option is this:

This one is slightly different, and I would need an adapter ring for both my SLR and Camcorder for it.

Which one? Or neither?

Any help is much appreciated.
