ok before i start, i really want to say im sorry for the noob question coming your way. when i record on my tape, how do i delete whats on the tape? do i record over it or what? yea kill my karma but i needa know

you cant delete data from a hdv tape, you can only tape over it

so i just rewind the tape to where it says 0 minutes or 60 minutes. haha. im not too savvy with this so. haha. let me get this straight.

1.) put it in play mode
2.) rewind to tape....but to where?
3.) record over that.

wow to be honest. you having a camera seems way over your head. You record stuff. The time goes down. 60 minutes means 60 minutes left to record on the tape, when you are at zero you have a full tape. If you want to rewind you go into viewing mode then click rewind. you go to a point where you want to start recording again then go back to record mode and tape over. But please dont tape over things. risk of losing shots/measing up heads...but that is probably way over your head anyway

i know how to put it on. i already did. hahah. but honestly, if you saw an hv40 laying around and its a good 10 minutes before its gonna rain, would you take it, or would you not? after asking the 4 people who i didnt know, they said it wasnt theirs, would you honestly just leave it there. i highly doubt you would.

unlike you're worthless pile of shit you call "you", i wouldnt have taken it and if it was raining i would take it somewhere public, like a police station and give it to them so if the people look and are decently smart they'll check there. you could also call the camera brand, tell them the serial number and they could pin point where it was bought and the sell/company may have a way to contact them. but, youre a moron so obviously non of that came into your head.

how would you feel if you got robbed? if i accidently left my camera anywhere (highly unlikely), and i went back to look for it and it was gone, id be super pissed. an hv40 is way to much money to go forgetting so im pretty sure someone has to be looking for it. even if it was someone out of state.

wow its kind of funny b/c right when hd cameras became actually worht buying i spent about a grand on a camera, my parents contributing a fair bit first day using it i left it at blue mountain on a table inside.

came back and it was gone.  caleed the cops. contacted guest services and they all said stupid kids like this would never return it

i am camera-less right now and probably will not have the funds to purchase another one with the near ski season coming up.

if u were really trying to get it back to its owner you would never have a had the balls to ask how to "delete" stuff on a very legit camera

If you were really trying to find the owner of the camera you would have looked at the tape to see who was on it and try to find someone who knows the kids on the tape.
