If your camera shoots in 24pn then it can be pretty sick. If your trying to shoot 24p, then your using some crazy pull downs (3:2 or 2:3, I spaced on which one) and you might have some post issues that looks like your shots are interlaced. Really depends on the camera.
You can actually slow down 24pn quite nicely if you know how too. A guy I film with shoots a lot of 24pn and we have gotten some stuff down in the 70 and 60% range with it looking pretty smooth. You just have to be very smooth and consistent with any camera movements when shooting 24p. Not only are you shooting with less fps, but your bitrate is also slower.
30p is just your stock video progressive format. Its your normal look and you can manipulate the footage a decent amount. If your not going for the film look I would suggest 30p.
60i can be annoying because you will have to de interlace the shots in post and I would imagine that would be quite annoying. You can slow down 60i pretty good, but your dealing with de interlacing.
If I were you I would test the formats out and see what you like the best.
Also, it really does depend on what camera you are using.
Hope that helps.
