well it all depends, because i dont know what ur foot looks like, how much u weigh, if ur an aggressive skier or anything, try and give a little more info, and ill see if i can suggest something for u
is ur foot more on the narrow side, if it is where is it narrow, do u have a wider foot? i didnt mean what size, and if ur looking to buy online and u buy a size 12 boot, ill guarantee its wayy too big, i bet you are more of a 28-29
if ur foot is more on the wide side, u might want to check out some nordica boots, they tend to run on the wider side, the hot rod 85, pretty soft, if u do some all mountain skiing u might not want to go that soft for a boot, u could bump it up to the hot rod 95, or even the 105, at 180lbs i would suggest the hot rod 95 because of ur weight. But i would suggest going to the shop and trying them on, as for ur arch look into some custom footbeds
I've only put two days on it, but I'm super stoked on this year's Salomon Ghost which is a 130 flex instead of the 110 flex of last year. Definitely more comfortable than I was expecting, and unless your calves are huge, you should give it a try. For a two-buckle boot, they are stiff enough without being overly restrictive and very responsive. Price will probably be steep though.
have u found the phoenix line fits narrower than the dragons? i feel like it does, but thats odd because the dragon is the more performance fit boot out of the two
the phenoix series has the H.V.L. (High Volume Last), which means its wider than other boots in its category. its basically for someone with that fat fucking foot.
listen bro, go to a shop and try on boots. dont go by what people tell you is "good" or what will fit. you need to find the right size and the right boot that you can try on and get worked on by a boot fitter
Id say ride tecnicas just cause i have had awesome experiances with them but,
the guy at my shop measured my foot with the tecnica thing and came up with a 28. and acording to tecnicas size chart my shoe size, 10, should wear a size 28. i bought them and they are fine. to tell you the truth 98% of the people on this site say i should go with a 26 or a 27. for what?! a wickedly tight boot that doesnt allow me to wiggle my toes?! my size 28 is perfect i have room to wiggle my toes but they are tight enough to be responsive. dont listen to NS listen to your boot fitter. //rant
yeah but thats a fucking burly, stiff ass boot. i mean its awesome if your going to be charging and just kicking ass, but if your in the park, your going to break your legs
i also found when sizing tecninca's, i wear a whole size smaller than in other boots like salomon and noridca, for instance i wear a 27.5 spk, but when trying on different tecnica boots, the 26.5 felt about perfect
