Patrick Roy won one his first year, but the Avs results will be the same, but not because of Aebischer. As a team they play too half-assed and have no unity, they'll fall apart as soon as a focused team hits them, sadly enough.

even though i hate them, its the leafs, and my team, the sens, that are the frontrunners for the cup.
detroit and colorado for the west, no other options really, but both are a bit uncertain when it comes to goaltending. other than that, watch out for them.
ottawa plays all around great hockey, just look at their goal differential, miles ahead of any other team. goaltending is slightly suspect, but they are fourth in goals in the league, so i believe it is fine.
toronto is looking good, but elderly. like ive said before, once the playoffs end, easton better start making wheelchairs, canes and walkers, because toronto so old now.

I came up with an idea that I'm really excited about. I'll post it here unofficially so people can start to think about it, ask me questions, and give me input. The benefits of my format is that it's interactive and fun, people won't lose interest after the first round because their team is out, and because it makes it very unlikely that people will have the same teams. Also, I thikn this should be manageable for me to organize. Hopefully.

So here's what I came up with, all by my lonesome:

Each team will have 15 forwards and 10 defensemen and 1 goalie per conference (total 52).

Goals = 1 point each
Assists = 1 point each
Goalie wins = 1 point each
Goalie Shut out = 3 points + 1 point for the win

(This is where it gets fun)

- You must group forwards into 5 lines of 3 and defensemen into 5 pairings.
- Lines / pairings must be made up of players on different NHL teams and must remain in tact throughout the tournament.
- Only players you chose to 'play' can earn you points
- Benched players will remain benched till the end of the round. NO EXCEPTIONS!
- I must know your lines with are playing / benched before the first puck drop in each round.

You will play your teams as follows:
Round 1+2: 2 lines + 2 pairings playing, 3 lines + 3 pairings benched
Round 3: 3 lines + 3 pairings playing, 2 lines + 2 pairings benched
Round 4: 4 lines + 4 pairings playing, 1 lines + 1 pairings benched
