you can fill it in wil wax but p-tex stays longer and is better

are you talking about holes in the base or holes from past mounts ?

There probably shouldn't be any holes in your skis.  But since there are I'm guessing they are from a past mount.  Put some wood glue/ epoxy in there, get a plug, and your set.  Your shop will probably do it for you.
