if i'm not mistaken it just says to submit by the 15th. They probably got a fair share of entries and have to keep narrowing it down until they get a winner.

Hmmmmm...

So Coreupt is going to make skis for another year?  I thought they were ready to fold up the tent and move on.  After paying out somewhere in the neighborhood of $700K in salaries, and then having to sell skis for $150 online since no one bought them, I figured that this paper mache' brand would be done. 

Good for them for trying to do it for another year....not to mention opening up that checkbook of theirs again to sign another rider!  That was the problem last year...yeah, they did not have enough big names....that is why the skis never sold!  I bet they will take over the industry now, haha.

I also thought Dorey was dropped by Dynastar (which would be a huge mistake by them if true).  Dorey is absolutely my favorite pipe skier and I am stoked that he is getting paid well, assuredly since it seems that Coreupt is not stingy with dinero.

I think they didn't sell as many skis last year as they hoped was because they WERE just re-branded Dynastars.  Since they were just Dynastars, and Dynsatar skis were available in the states for cheaper here in the States, nobody wanted to pay to ship CoreUPT's.   The $150 sale was a great idea and was a way to get coreUPT skis in the hands of a ton of people.

THIS YEAR, now that their skis are not all re-branded Dynastars and they have some unique skis of their own, they should be able to take off. 

Stop hating.

the rest of your post made a little more sense but i dont think you can call candide a paper mache skier (which is essentially what youre doing). he is huge overseas so im sure the market over there is way different for coreupt.
i like to think of it as a toyota/scion deal. same shit, different name, different owners, different demographic to market to.

maybe it's me, but I just don't see what coreupt is bringing to the table...why should I choose their skis over another company's? So far they haven't proven that to me, maybe when they do I will reconsider. Untill then, no amount of big names on their team will sway me. Plus someone like Candide can destroy backcountry on any ski, it doesn't really matter to him, so the fact that he kills it on cureupts doesn't really tell me much..

guys you need to stop thinking that coreUpt.com is producing their skis with dynastar skis that was last year for their first year cause producing new "moule" for new skis his really expensive so they did that like armada did when they came out.
it's pretty funny cause when armada came out they did the same like taking all the big names and no one even hate on it

coreUPT.com are now producing their own skis and are not working anymore with dynastar and the new skis look relly dope especially the promodel of richard permin

Well, if J-bone does get his own ski I would think it would be a pipe ski, and if he gets some input it will be a sick ski for sure.  Congrats Dorey, I hope the new deal brings good things for ya.

Lolo told everything.

CoreUPT now got their own molds and produce their own ski, there is nothing related with Dynastar now, and no reasons to hate...

For example, K2 bought Raischle 4years old boots molds and develop new Full Titl range, everyone is so stoked on it.
CoreUPT started last year with Dynastar and create their own this year, and most of NS users hating on it... this is senseless..

Wrong.

Coreupt slapped new graphics on old dynastars and called them a new ski.

K2 advertised the Full Tilt as the revival of the already famous raichle boot, after raichle went out of business. They never claimed it as a "new" product.

Even when Armada used the Rossi presses, they engineered their own ski with their own flex pattern, and tried to do something different.

that's the reason for the hate, it's already been done before. Armada did something different and brought a new angle to how a ski brand could be run. Coreupt is bringing nothing new to the sport just paying some skiers stupids amounts of money while making crappy skis. The second they put something on the table I'll change my opinion, but for now, they aren't helping the sport IMO.

I also like it how no one has mentioned that the first AR5's = first Rossi Scratch, tanner really liked the ski so he wanted to keep riding that same type of ski so the AR5 was born

laurent, you style those screamin grabs more tech than I can even dream about (and have tried). that shit is awesome.

But really, this has become a 'rip on CoreUPT thread'. And you know what, I think they're kinda bullshit too. How many more pro models are they going to to saturate the market with? It's a bit ridiculous already. Myself, I'm not going with CoreUPT. I saw right through them as soon as I saw their line of skis, looked pretty boring. I was set on JJ's to complete my quiver and was stoked to finally vote for Armada with my benjammins. Then I learned about the perfect shaped bamboo-core of the Great Scott. I found a motivated new company offering a real diverse, creative line for a fair price. A company like ON3P is way more my style.

People are hating on his company way too much. Everything else aside, they should be praised for their marketing techniques. The fact that they are selling skis at lower prices is awesome. Skis are incredibly overpriced these days and all you are paying for is marketing. Look at K2, those things probably cost $20 a pair to produce over in China and you pay seven or eight hundred for them. I think it's great Croeupt is taking this approach.
