Do you all have rise plates?

It seems like all bindings come with risers nowadays but for twin tips I dont like them. I had them on all my race stock skis but for my new tens I had them grind down the screws and take off the plates. The dude bithed at me about how long it would take him and said it wouldnt make a difference but fuck him. I felt a big difference on rails, it helps to be that much closer to the ski. Anyone else have risers or have them removed?

yeah i dislike riser plates, i like al light ski and i cant notice the difference between a ski with a riser plate or not, so basically all riser plates do for me is make the ski heavier

risers are just not for jumping. there is no point for being higher on the ski, its just less stable.

yeah i had them put on my 1080s a couple years ago, and dont really like em all that much. when I got my pistols I didn't bother, I like it better. Im probably remounting my 10s without the risers soon too.

atomic has risers too. but i dont understand why on some of there skis like the stomp sugar daddy and big daddy or rex. those are fat skis and getting over on the edge on those you still wouldnt be able to touch the snow with your boot.

Meanwhile the cost of the animal - damage done to the pasture - is divided among all the herdsmen....... the herdsmen are getting nervous. putting more cattle on the pasture isnt helping anyone. I've got risers on my Mad Trix with Marker 8.2 bindings. I don't notice any difference in the park but when i'm on the groomers i'm definitly glad i haev them. I should point out that they're a lot more effective in the icy conditions of the east.

No risers gives a more responsive feel, not as good for carvin, but having no risers reduces risk of knee injury in falling on spins

^ where do you get your bullshit information buddy. risers are designed to create higher edge pressure and better response. but yes there are no need for twins because twins are not designed for carving. there are far more issues with twins if you wanta make turns that risers create a difference. always i guess you could say that the line reactor bindings is sort of a riser because everything is under your boot, so that inturn creates a higher riser

my risers are big as shit on my 1080s but I haven't ridden enough skis to know if there is a difference or not in terms of performance

risers are for laying down in the carve and racing and even then...i can carve well enough without them....'don't need them, don't want them,' i agree...so, no i don't have risers...

^ I agree. I have risers on my race skis, but for my park skis I think you lose a ton of the feel and you dont get any benefits from having them in the park.
