im getting into freestyle and park skiing and am wondering if the tecnica agent 80's are a good choice. I weigh 135 pounds and am just starting park and want to know if 80 flex is good enough for the whole mountain for a lighter skier like me. i have also heard that tecnica flex rating is diffrent then other companys. is this true? and if so, how is it diffrent? thanks for the help! plus K for any real help
the flex would be fine for you, maybe a little on the soft side. all boot companies flex ratings are different, and i can't remember off the top of my head if tecnica ratings are generally softer or harder, but i think its softer. somebody correct me.
although i have to say, the agent 80s don't have the nicest liner or boot materials. you can find a better boot for the price. go to a boot fitter who skis the kind of terrain you do, or at least understands how you ski. they'll show you a few different boots that will work well for you.
there is no industry standards for flex rating on boots. the best boots are what fits your foot, try them on and come back and tell us what the best boot for you is.
we dont have a very bog selection at the ski shop nearby and i have tried on the tcnicas and they feel good on me. I also found them online for $150 new so they seem like for that price why not? unless someone says otherwise?
if you know they fit you then sure, go for it, but once you start progressing you might want something different, like a boot with active footboards, progressive flex, nice(r) liner, etc
ya the agent 80s are awesome i have them they are soo nice i would def recommend them. really light the flex is a little on the soft side but im fine with it.
