What is the earliest that ski resorts will be opening and which ones will be opening first? I'm trying to plan a college visit and figured i might as well get some skiing in while i was at it

around halloween. and if i were you id just go to minnesota, and hit up wild or other resorts around the cities.

Some resorts will have a patch of snow on the ground with a couple of rails that you can hike by around Halloween, but you probably won't see chairs running til mid November.

yeah wild mountain is usually the first one to open in minnesota and thats usually late october and early november, im not sure about wisconsin

uh hopefully yale or duke.. but im checking out u of wisconsin and u of utah for backups if those dont work out.. thats why im goin to wisconsin to check it out..

i live in duluth mn ski at spirit we usually dont open the lifts till like mid nov park doesnt open till dec which sucks but they usually have a box and rail or 2 set up somewhere around. hlyand in the cities opes prob around the same maybe a lil earlier cause its so tiny and allll park

most are set to like mid novemberish. we've been gettin pretty low temps lately, so hopefully something opens earlier.
