Forever changes is my second favorite album of ll time, so thats on the right track. But jeff buckley i can never seem to get into.

Mischief Brew - Kettle Rebellion, Songs from Under the Sink, basically any of his albums. Its acoustic folk punk. He's like, the Bob Dylan of our times. I can't think of one solo musician that is as creative and innovative as him. He's a one man power house.

Against Me - Crimes as Forgiven By. These guys aren't that good anymore but their first EP was fucking great and so were their second EP and first two albums. This one was recorded on a drum set made out of pots and pans and buckets.

Bandits of The Acoustic Revolution - A Call To Arms. The only EP from a 12 piece acoustic orchestra from the mind of Tom Kalaknoy (sp?) from Streetlight Manifesto. If you haven't heard of them, get their album Everything Goes Numb, its one of the best ska albums ever.

Chaptain Chaos/Johhny Hobo - Live at Bandit HQ Split. Don't know how possible to find this is anymore but its a great album recorded from a basement show with probably less than 100 people at it. Its great.

^It was unintentional but everything posted up their is acoustic mostly, so if you like acoustic folk/punk shit, get all those albums now.

Radiohead - If you're going to listen to Radiohead you need to include The Bends. Incredible album.
John Lee Hooker - I'm not sure if you are a blues guy (I'm not really) but have been into him lately. mewithoutyou - pretty good if you want something a little different.
Black Star - I know you said no hip-hop, but definitely a brilliant album
Mother Mother - amazing
