I posted another topic about my "mid life crisis" gander if you wish for more background info.
anyway, basically im sick of my life in my small city, with all my friends moved away for uni. Iv decided that im packing up and heading west, but i dont know where. Right now im working as an apprentice electrician, first year, going in to school next monday, done on December 16, so im planning on leaving shortly aftert that. 

I need any help I can get for suggestions on a job, i would prefer the trades, of course electrical would be my top choice as iv already invested  over a year of my time into it. But really it all comes down to me wanting to ski lots, then in summer bike lots and longboard lots. I dont know where the best place for me to go would be to maximize this experience.

Just throw some ideas out there to me for me to look into

vancouver! it's an amazing city, whistler is super close, and you can mtn bike/longboard all summer/spring

i used to live in reno NV it has about 320,000 people in it. i dunno how big you want it to be but right now im in bozeman MT which has around 50,000. tons of sickass biking in both places. reno has tahoe about 40 minutes away from it (along with all the resorts in tahoe, squaw, alpine, boreal, northstar, heavenly, kirkwood, rose). Bozeman has bridger (like 15 minutes) and big sky and moonlight basin(45 min.) theres a ton of good downhill lift access biking at bigsky and trails all over town. big ol berms and jumps roughly 20 minute drive to trail head. biking in reno is more singletrack out in the desert but theres a lot of it. downhill with lift access like a half hour away at northstar. as far as work it seems like theres a greater need for it in bozeman than in reno. hope this helped.

sorry to double post but theres a shit ton of longboardin in both places as well. more police pressure in reno though. (also more parking garages in reno, only one in bozeman)

i live in seattle, washington, and id say COME TO SEATTLE, but its a little too hilly for longboarding. you should take a look at bellingham. its a hippyish, semi-college town less than an hour from the canadian border. mt baker is reeeeal close (great mountain), and there are TONS of bike enthusiasts and whatnot in town. also if you like hacksack its your mecca. its less hilly, so longboarding is a go, and youre close enought to BC that there should be a steady flow of good weed (if youre into that at all).

like i said. its a cool place. check it out.
