last year couple friends and i started to poke around the alpental sidecountry started out following people because we didn't know where exactly we were going then eventually got to know the area pretty well. we never went farther out than draft dodger ridge. this website makes it seem pretty sketchy http://www.alpental.com/snow-l.htm
so my questions are
how much sketchier is the farther out stuff as far as getting cliffed out?
if it is sketchier following people/tracks isn't a very good idea so are there people on here who know the area well and would be willing to show my friends around the area?
my friends and i (3 of us total) have taken our level 1 avalanche saving up for beacons and level 2 class, not looking to take you're best pow stashes but get us familiar with what looks like a super sick area.
