i just dropped of my ar6s at the shop to get mounted, and i forgot to mark the line on the ski where i wanted it mounted which is 1.5 back, and the only lines on the ski to mount is 2.5 and 5.0 back..i wrote it down on the sheet that i wanted it 1.5 back, but there is no mark on the ski that says 1.5, so do you think he may mount it 2.5 back by accident?
what should i do? just call the shop on monday and ask for the ski mounter person, and say to get my ar6s, and just to measure it off and mark it now cause i forgot to and i dont want it to get screwed up when he mounts it?

Definitely try calling
and worst case he mounts at -2.5 the 1 cm won't make life altering problems

thats not possible, shops too far away. i actually wanted to do this when i was there because i forgot to do it at home, and they said the shop tech would take care of it, and its no biggie, but i just want to be sure..but at the same time i dont want to call in and insult the ski tech by saying that i forgot to mark the ski where i wanted so i just wanted to make sure it got mounted correctly, so if he could, i would like him to measure the 1cm and mark it so it doesnt get messed up

i'm a ski tech and that's not an embarrassing question, ski techs are skiers to, and if someone makes a mistake, someone comes on here and flames them hard... so help him out and give him a call.

He was actually doing you a favor that he made look like a mistake. -2.5 is much better on AR6s and Pipe Cleaners than more forward than that. Go enjoy them mounted where they perform better now!

i brought my skis in, i just told them where to mount it (like -1.5cm), and that was it
of course, when i got the ski back and checked it out myself (the ski has a dead center line because it was symmetrical and that's it), not only was it not mounted where i had requested, but it was mounted almost 1cm in front of the dead center line.
so i brought it back in, the ski tech came up and looked at it and was like "uhhh.... hmmmmmm"
then brought it downstairs and remounted it in a couple of minutes in the correct position.
i now work for this shop ;)
