Halloween Rail Jam @ Outdoor Sports Center in Wilton, CT

Whats up ct jibbers...
Here is the word on this years rail jam at Outdoor Sports Center - straight from the planners:

This will be our third year doing a fall rail jam, we are back teaming up with 95.9 Fox Radio, Ski Sundown, and various ski and snowboard brands to bring the sickest setup in CT yet.... I'll have more updates on which reps will be there as we get closer to the 31st. What we know for sure right now is that we have a sick scaffold setup ( see below), and K2 Charlie will be there. Jarrod (Ski Sundown Park Manager) is custom building us a new rail for the setup, maybe he will get on this thread and tell us what he is dreaming up.
 So the Rail Jam is on Sat Oct 31st, at 12pm- 3pm... that's halloween, so feel free to do up the costume bit. If you want to ride, bring a helmet, if you're a young gun, bring an adult to sign our waivers. Prizes are still TBD, but it is an informal jam, so there is no 1st 2nd 3rd, but reps usually hand out some boards, and we will have various swag for you. Remember, it is a free rail jam, so it is about gettin out early and hitting some rails, not competing. See ya in a few weeks.

i'll bring the boxes... even though thoes who've riddin this year are sick of them already.  i was thinking a single barrel down-flat... about 2 feet tall, 4 inch round (old snow making pipe -  keep costs down) 

with this set up, it should allow for some good speed coming out of the kink and into the parking area... so the run could go.... down-flat (land) then into the up-down box.... could workout.

its a good time

will (outdoor) is the radio people bringing food?  sometimes they surprise us with sandwhiches... and if you aint down with a sandwhich then you aint down with us. 

any requests for the c-rails or s raill?  we could also do a down c-flat c combo.... or down flat 40 foot s.... maybe too tricky?

that sounds sick. I'm probably gonna make the drive for this one - the set up looks sick. I can be there early to help set up if you need it.

how long would the single barrel down flat be?  cuz that sounds sick

if the down flat is 20+ plus thatd be sick, then i say it should be the down flat to a c rail if theres enough speed

Yeah, radio station has that caterer again... should be some hot food... not sure what yet. Also we have a new energy drink company that will bring some bevs.
For setup, I like the down to  flat.... or maybe just a long down bar... I personally think that kink flat sections slow me down unless they are "bend to flat" instead of a kink. Breck had a snowmaking pipe down rail a few years ago that was sick,  .  I also think that we should maybe put the two c rails together as an S on the flat parking lot.... cause s rails can be done with very little speed and still look sick.
Length of the bottom ramp is 16'  so my vote is for a 16' down bar from that 4" pipe. then the tech part can be the S rail.

I'm stoked, this is gunna be big, get the word out.

Evan... you havent been out once this season... you're going to film, stand around and look goofy...

for the rest of you, i'm almost done the 16 foot down rail made out of 6inch snow making pipe.  its 2 feet tall.  i'll be bringing the 40 foot s, 24 foot up down flat (changeable) and .....

scaffold will be up by end of this week.  snow moving begins friday morning and we have two rinks helping us with this.  (tractors!)  Radio station is locked, food! good times and ...............

it'll be good, for everyone except evan... who'll complain a bunch...

If anyone happens to have footage from yesterday, or knows of anyone who does have footage please let me know (especially of my front flip - I need proof for people to believe me I guess). Thanks.

Ya I was there that was probably the sickest thing thrown down, when i saw you getting ready for it just hitting the jump strait not the rail i didn't know what was going on and then you flipped into by far the most sketchy landing ever , hope you get the footage.

yeah, it took me like 2 or 3 run ins just cause I was so worried about hitting the rail about 6 inches away from me, and the first try on the actual flip was just to get over it. Craziest flip I've ever tried just cause I had a huge chance of hitting the rail or falling off the side of the landing onto the concrete. I know SOMEONE has footage of it cause a kid came up to me a showed it to me, I just someone on here knows who has it.

by the way... big ups to Will... that scaffold set up worked perfectly.  for never having built one before, oyu did a great job.
