hello just got my 189's so damn sick and cant wait to rage them. i am mounting them with mojo15's. on 6'4"-230lbs. i have a pair of 179 seths ( such an amazing all around do anything ski) mounted dead center used for every day riding-crud,groomers, some pow and trees. i am plannin on using the bents for pow and all around fun. i have heard that as close to center as comfort is preferable bec of the shape. though i have heard many a range from +4-+10. im thinking about range from +7 to 10. if anyone has any feedback from their experiances from their mounting point. all east coast skiing. more trees than open faces. but i cant hear enough good things about these skis all over the mountain from skiing crappy chop carving in hardpack to obv deep pow where im sure their gonna excell beyond any other ski ive been on. if you have any suggestions for me i want to mount the way where i think i will like them the most which i think is very close to center. but let me were you mounted yours and how they were for your type of skiing. if anyone skis similer to me wheres your optimal mounting point.

good call. your gonna love them. they are just the most fun ski ever.
and yea, core center, or like 1-2 back. bents are supposed to give you that center mounted, playful jib feeling allover the mountain, and they do. besides the rocker, and length of tail, all that, they are tanks, and if they arnt centered, they are real nose heavy, and it makes them feel sluggish. they are actually pretty easy to throw around when they are centered tho.

Your welcome man, somebody needed to snag those.
Ya if your centered there is still enough tip and with the rocker you wont have a problem.

I mounted mine at -1cm from true center (I measured true center, then went back). It was a a nice place to be, but I like to ski fakie in pow a lot, so take that into account.

ive heard that regardless if you ski mostly forwards, or lots of switch that you want to be as close to center as possible. -1, -2 from true center is what ive heard is the best. -1 and core are probably pretty close.

so you think than that i should do core center of true center bec i know theres a bit of a difference between the two.

How are you going to ride them?
I suggest going core center or 1 back from core. If you ride alot switch go core center, if not i think 1 back will be better.

I mounted mine at 1.5 back from core center. The when I ripped out the bindings an absurd amount of times, I had to get them re-mounted, and I went core center. I didn't really notice much of a difference.

i def do alot of switch will prob use mostly for straight up pow i just have always been under the impressions that mounting center will hurt you in pow. though there is a rocker and plenty of it will mounting them center sacrifice any in deep pow. i mean -1-2 from center i think is a little better for me bec of the use i will get out of them. unless center wont hurt me on deep pow. i mean ill prob use them around the whole mountian just for screwing around doin butters and such mayb a lil in the park but i want to mount them were i will get the most out of them in pow

sorry to use the thread for my purpose :D
im 183 cm or 6foot tall, 155 pounds
do u guys think i should b´get the bents in a 189 or 179?
i like longer skis, my park skis are 183 too, but i think that the 189 will be a bit too long since the measuring of k2 skis.
thx guys/girls in advance

well if your worried about tip dive or anything, i would say go 2 back from true or core(not much of a difference between the two). And you will probably enjoy then there. Thats my 2 cents.

If you ski a 183 in the park you'd probably be fine with a 189. It's all a matter of personal preference. But keep in mind that because of the rocker, it skis shorter. So you're actually supposed to go anywhere from 5-10 cm longer than you would with a traditionally cambered ski.

Yeah, +5 from traditional/-2 from core center I've heard is about the best spot. That's where I'm mounting my Hellbents.

yo ide do the 189's if i was you im 6'3 and i without question got the 189's, you gotta take the rocker into consideration. the longer the ski the more surface on the snow as well as more rocker. k2's it seems run shorter in my opinion too. i have a pair of 179 seth vicious and they feel kinda short but are fun as shit. in my opinion anyone over 6' without question should get the 189's and thats my opinion on them before ive skied my bents. but im glad i got the 189's bec they seem just perfect for me. some of these other dudes who have skied them would prob give you a better opinion though bec like i said ive never riden mine
