Ski passes- how far away do you live?

Just wondering- for those of you who hold ski passes, how far / long do you need to commute to get there? Five minutes? Or is it a cross-country trek?

one place is a little over 2 hours... 2 hours and 15 minuteish
other place is like 3 hours and 15 minuteish.


Places up north in Michigan were way cheaper than places down south. So I figured I would vote with my dollar and not support the ski hills down south that suck...and charge an arm an a leg for a season pass.

3.5 hours from my home (can be up to 6.5 if the weather is bad)
5.5 from my school. but it is worth it because I go up there for at least a week durring christmas break, we have a cabin that is trailside so we can basicly ski out the backdoor. And before any of you start talking like you are jealous, don't be unless you are from the midwest. I have done the math and 1 of the bowls in vail equals like almost like 50 of my entire home mountain (30 some runs total, longest one is a mile long). But I still love the place to death.

10 minute drive to Lake Louise ski area. I can see the hill from work and from my house. It was brutally painful in the summer to look at but now there is snow on the mountains again and I'm super stoked.

Hour and 15 minutes, but its a nice drive and there is never any traffic because its just a two lane highway through the desert.  And the actual drive up the mountain is fun as hell, mob mob mob.

4:30 hours to Alta, Snowbird
