Another length question..

Hey guys, I know there have been a ton of sizing and length questions plaguing these forums lately. So heres on more. Last week I bought I new pair of '09 '10 Kung Fujas, I am skiing about 50% park 50% everything else, and living in Minnesota I thought I would be fine going with the 169s especially since k2s end up being a little longer anyway. (Probably about 173). I am super stoked to try them out but I am starting to think they might be a little short.
I am about 5' 11", 150LBs, do you think I will be fine with the 169s or should I have stepped up to the 179s? The skis are a little less than an inch shorter than me. What do you guys think? '
Thanks.

probably shouldve went 179 if you plan on hitting remotely big jumps, if you just want to use them as a toy in the park for rails then I guess your fine and I don't think you get mad pow in minnesota? Longer skis are also better for pow I believe, so if you're hitting pow+ jumps go longer.

inch below your height? sounds good for a ski thats used partly in park. my skis are used for the same things(50/50) and there about an inch shorter than me. 179(183) would tower over you.

I'd say go with the 179 - especially if you're hitting jumps. They will ski short anyway and if you mount em at core center, they will ski even shorter.

Im 5'10 and i ride 171 invaders which are a lil shorter than normal. They seem fine to me. Im buying the afterbangs hopefully later on in the season and im gonna get 177 so i dont think it would hurt to step it up. but if its too late 169 should work fine. It really depends on what you prefer

Yeah we get like no pow in the midwest haha, and our jumps are not exactly huge either. Not tiny, but nothing phenomenal.

Just for your information you know that the invader and the afterbang are two completely different skis. The afterbang is much much more jump oriented than the invaders, just sayin 'cause I tought the afterbang was like the invaders.

Well I can still return them but it would be kind of a hassle. I kind of like the slightly shorter feel but everyone always says go longer to improve. I'm just not sure its worth the trouble since I am going to primarily be skiing in smaller locations/parks.

Probably true - stick with the one you think you're gonna be more comfortable on.
