Just picked up a pair of powder skis for the upcoming season. First pair ever, and I have no idea where to mount them? I ride a good amount of park and my skis are mounted dead center which i feel is the only way to go for park. Center mount/near center good idea or bad idea for my new powder skis?
Yea, we need to know what ski and what theyre gonna be used for. If theyre Hellbents, center mounted to 4 or 5 back works (mine are at 4 back and I have no problem skiing them switch). JJs you can mount at recommened (5 back) or at 3 back, which is what Julien Regner and THall does. EP pros I think have a reccommened mounting line, Chopsticks should be mounted dead center, S7s probably 5 back.
Really depends what you're using them for, if you want to ride switch or hit backcountry booters alot, then a bit further would be good. If you just want to ski pow and ski deep pow, go with something further back.
