Anyone else not care for POW videos?

Im not sayinjg i dont like pow videos but i easily get board watching them. Its probably because i never experience an actuall powder day because of my geographical location. anyone else not really enjoy watching them?

i dunno. i like rails and taps and urban and all that, but it always seems so much cooler when someone throws a rodeo off some big powdery cliff, as opposed to a park jump. but thats just me.

Meh, I live on the EC and disagree ... the park edit market is saturated, so I enjoy freeriding vids... I'd understand why someone living in the Midwest wouldn't relate to pow vids though

i hate pow videos where it's nothing but people making turns.
i hate park videos with lil wayne and the same switch ups, pretzels, rodeos and switch 5's all day long.
 
i love park videos without lil wayne or bad music and with creative hits such as hippie killers.
i jizz my pants for videos of creative backcountry such as all the nimbus edits.

as someone from the midwest, i used to feel the same way.

UNTIL you get some, then it totally changes things
you realize how much burlier and unpredictable a big line is compared to a manicured park. i still like um both about the same tho, parks so sick to watch

most new park edits are the same...  a bunch of ballerinas spinning like tops on boxes and rails.... change ups are played... lets see some more presses and style as opposed to the current trend of tony hawk button mashing point grabbing technicality....

and no, i actually get bored sometimes watching park videos.  i love a good pow video.  especially living on the east, it makes me really appreciate whenever we get pow, so i love powder.  hence..i love watching a good pow video.

It depends what is being shredded. If it's a TGR style pow movie, with metal and stomped the living fuck out of giant cliffs, well I'd rather watch that any day. But if it's like MSP, with mellow music and just skiing a steep face, that bores me.

I can not watch big mountain like black dot goin down giant white mountain super neat. i like pow videos cause im midwest but ive skied pow out west twice and i miss it but yeah i like watchin park cause it reminds me of my actual ski season plus its stuff anyone can do regardless of their scenario. grammar sucks deal with it, its a skiing forum

why would anyone want to watch rail segments instead of powder segs....... pow skiing is what makes the sports of skiing so freaking awesome. sliding rails is just something to do if its either summer time or there is not enough snow to properly ski.

i enjoy watching it, but i know where your coming from with the location thing. i live in missouri and have never had a pow day in my life. im sure if i ever do get to ski pow i will appreciate pow videos much more. i hated watching surfing till i actually went and learned how to do it.

i love both..but you always end up watching videos (because there are so many) with the same old shit.

Never been a big fan of pow segments, seeing as I'm from PA, but the AK segment in refresh blew my mind. Must be just like living in paradise..

i wouldn't care for pow footage either if I only knew it through edits on NS. watching a park rat make worm turns at 8 mph, down a 25 degree slope just doesn't do it for me. it's kind of like the jibbing you would see on the TGR forum.

totally depends on the segment. if it is shot after shot of the same angle and scene then it gets real boring. but the last couple segments done by PBP with JP and  Benchetler have been incredible i think.

i think sometimes to many AK shots can get a little boring. i im sure its fun to do not as great to watch but, there are some AK segments i really loved, like the one in the massive

Pow is so awesome. I can relate to it a little more than I can with park. If I see Pollard 180 a 15 foot drop, I can go out and do that at my home mountain. Every run is different when you're in the powder, whereas a park doesn't really change every run. POW FTW!
