Al Sharpton....Does this asshole ever stop?

Why cant this dude just mind his own business for once? Why does he feel he has to put his two cents in and think he knows best. This guy just pisses me off.

he Rev. Al Sharpton wants the National Football League to block conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh from bidding on the St. Louis Rams.

Sharpton sent a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday. He said Limbaugh has been divisive and "anti-NFL" in some of his comments.

Limbaugh did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday.

Limbaugh said last week that he is teaming up with St. Louis Blues hockey team owner Dave Checketts in a bid to buy the Rams. He has declined to discuss details of the offer, citing a confidentiality agreement.

In 2003, Limbaugh worked briefly on ESPN's NFL pregame show. He resigned after saying Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb was overrated because the media wanted to see a black quarterback succeed.

Lat week, Limbaugh's bid caused a stir among commentators and invited parody online.

Dashiell Bennett of the often satirical sports blog Deadspin published a post entitled "Horrible Person Wants To Buy Horrible Team."

It read, "Professional blowhard Rush Limbaugh is aiming to become a part-owner of the St. Louis Rams. I guess the team won't be drafting any black quarterbacks from now on. (But at least they'll play pain-free!) " - references to incendiary comments Limbaugh made about Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb and Limbaugh's addiction to narcotic painkillers.

I dont support him you idiot. Does it say anywhere that I support him? If so, please show me, I would love to see it. I am saying that Al sharpton needs to shut up. He would never do that and stick up for a white person, he is just trying to get himself attention. He is the raciest one here.

Possibly.  I am right of center.  I think Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh are all fucking idiots.  The only people I am willing to listen to are Mark Levin, Neil Cavuto, and Bret Baier.  Cavuto is an economist and Baier is just kinda like Anderson Cooper only on Fox instead of CNN.

I would totally agree with you, because if the NFL wasn't such a whore they would make sure Limbaugh didn't buy the team because it would be a disgrace to the sport. Unfortunately, the NFL is nothing but a whore, and instead of worrying about the integrity of their league, they are probably just pumped to be stoked about all of the publicity this is causing and will continue to cause. This means higher ratings, people buying more NFL clips, ect. ect. Since the NFL is such a cock gobling whore, somebody needs to say that this whole limbaugh thing is a bad idea..... That person is not Al Sharpton though.

If he wants to buy the team no one should stop him. But it is still the players who decide if they want to play.

I would not play for this douche bag for one second. He called the NFL gang land where crypts and bloods get to beat each other up and get paid. He has made countless racist and horrible comments but still has his job. He is egotistical, horrible person, I hope he FAILS. That's what he said about Obama before he even became president.

The sad part is a person like this has enough money to purchase a football team. Shit like this makes me so mad, that some fat, worthless, drug addicted slob like Rush can play on Americas racism and fears and walk away with 50 mill a year.

And when it comes down to it I know the players are going to follow the money but FUCK RUSH.

My honest opinion though, The most important thing that I want to see out of any owner is to first stabilize the franchise and keep the team in St. Louis. Second I want to see that the new owner wants to do everything in his power to make the team a success on the field. That is it. I believe that is all you can ask for out of any ownership group.  If Rush wants to do those two things and buy the Rams then I will be behind him.

does this mean WE cant buy a NFL franchise then?  As far as Rush is concerned his comment about the nfl "looking like the crips and bloods without weapons"  I think he should revisit that statement (plaxico burress, Pac man jones)

Rush Limbaugh and Al Sharpton are both ridiculous in their own way.  I agree with with some of Jesse Jackson's comments and I think that mostly they are trying to bring up a the much bigger issue of race that desperately needs to be addressed in the US. Perhaps focusing on the absolute worst s the spectrum is not the right way to go about it but how else do you get people to notice?

I think someone who has made comments like Limbaugh has pertaining to the NFL and black people should not be a public figure in the sport. Should he not be aloud to buy a football team?? Shit I guess not, if I were a part of that team I wouldn't want him as the owner though, especially if I was a black male.

Yes that was racist but as far as business practices are concerned shouldnt he have the same oppurtunity as anyone else to buy a business he feels like investing in?  I mean hes not buying the team just to sink it into the ground.  If the NFL is gonna take a stand on racist ownership (Al Davis)maybe they should also take a stance on players and not sign ex-con's.

as far as i know its not the NFL that blocked him, its the players union who doesnt want it. in other words the players dont want to be playing under him. and at that point, no he shoudlnt buy them, since thats clearly not going to help the team if noone wants to play for him.
