Orage vs. Saga pants

Saga Anomie 20k / 20k pants...obviously waterproofing and breathability is supposed to be better.

Vs.

Orage Barny / Benji pant with 10k / 10k.

Why is this up for debate? I like the styling of Orage better than Saga. So instead of style, lets talk about fit, warmth, breathability, and any other comments you care to offer about Saga pants vs. Orage Barny / Benji

I just like the "cleaner" look if you will of the Orage pants, but I don't want to be soaked and wet in the spring, and handle all conditions.

I got the Orage Barny pants a week ago, but sent them back - the quality of the pant for the price was awesome, but they are really short. I got the XL - It said on the size chart the inseam was 33 inches - but it was more like 30 in person - I'm like 6'2 - 6'3 and when I bent my knee the bottom of the pant came up to about mid calf level. If your around 6 foot get the saga anomie pant their inseam is huge in comparison. around 37 by memory.

my orage benji pants are the opposite. i and 6 foot 1 and my xl's are kinda huge. i love them

Well I can try on Orage, meanwhile Saga, nothing close by for retail outlets.

I just feel bummed for $20 more I can get 20k / 20k with Saga...compared to the Barny which is 10k/10k. Thats my big hang up.

I think the 10k/10k will hold up fine. I skied 5k/5k pants last year, just a shell and i never once got wet, not even in the spring.

in terms of toughness, the orage pants are miles ahead. Sagas are paper thin and rip surprisingly easily

I have pants from both companies and I am going to chose depending on the warmth of the day.

I got the Benji pants but haven't tested the waters yet. I do have last year's Orage Auclair pants which is rated at 20k/20k. Those I can definitely tell you are the shit ... no insulation on them, but they are very waterproof. I know that's not what you want to hear, but it'll be a little while before I can give a full impression on the Benji. I did take them out when it was 30 degrees with winds gusting to 40mph last weekend and the insulation kept me plenty warm. Not a true test, but all I got so far.

BTW - the fit on them isn't all that baggy ... kinda surprised since Orage has them listed as "relaxed" fit on their website. I would say it's more regular than that for sure. Probably would go one size bigger if that's your style.

I am debating between the Benji and the Geronimo but I am like 95% sold on the Benji. I figure why spend $250 on a pair of pants that'll just get rail stains (Geronimo) vs. $170

10k waterproofing seems sufficient.

I can't find the Benji's online anywhere. Trying to use bing to get 12% cashback lol

dude get saga for sure, i still have my beavur furs and they are holding up super well. and they are def some of the sickest shit on the market wayyyyy siicker than orage in my opinion. and the resale value of the saga with be a ton higher than on the orage.

Bought Saga Benji pants for $155 shipped. I got them from Sun & Ski Sports online.

Saga might resell better, but I happen to like Orage's style better.
