we are expecting 4+ feet from tonight to thursday.

up to 6 inches of rain for lower elevations...... Only part that sucks is that it is for elevations above 8,500 feet and town is at 8,000 feet. But, the base of the mountain is at 8,500 feet. Hopefully The mountain does its magic and will let all that rain be snow.

nws is a EVEN MORE pessimistic...

first wave will have snow levels at 7500ish feet and will rise to 9000... then the storm will combine with the next storm in the series which has lots of moisture with lots of tropical energy that was sucked into the jet stream from that typhoon... and the snow levels will rise to 10000 for the most significant part of the storm... probably raining out all the snow that fell in the initial wave.

either way... we need rain just as bad because california is in a fucking DROUUUUGHT.
