Enough double corks

Anyone else getting bored with the recent pre-season big air events? I know that this is a difficult technical trick and I respect it, but it seems like every single competitor has the same trick. They will throw a double cork 10 or 12 with a mute or a tail grab. I am getting tired of this and im sure that other people are noticing how boring the freestlye ch video got with all of the matching tricks.


anyone else feel this way or am I just crazy?

it happens with every new big trick that comes around. and as long as a mute dub cork 12 wins comps, people will still do them

no, u know what im tired of, sammy doing his gay little poke on every trick he does. i dont think he can grab any thing else or not do a poke, its so annoying.

It's just like a couple years ago when everyone was doing switch 10s. Give it a year or so until something new comes along.

Yea and the year before that when everyone threw d-spin 9s and we all got sick of it. And the year before that when everyone threw switch rodeo/cork 7s and we all go sick of it. And the year before that when everyone threw cork 720s and we all got sick of it. I think you see what I'm getting at...

im not really the biggest fan of big air comps just for this reason. slope is way more fun to watch because you actually see lots of different tricks

i was just about to say that. big air is always the same. if i was a judge, i would have given a really steezy corked 5 more then a dub. even though they are harder, they lost my respect

And to think a year or two ago everyone thought "doubles were too much like aerials" ahh the progression of skiing. But yes double 10s and 12s are getting rather boring. I like Jon who is switching shit up with whatever double he is throwing.

no.

its a full grab but you extend your legs really quick halfway through. watch any recent edit of sammy carlson and youll understand. i think it looks sick. he is one of the only guys doing it and it adds a personal style.

yeah def getting tired of the same grab. psyched to see jon with the dub cork bow and arrow. and the dub cork safety to mute. and henriks dub underflip blunt thing. but a lil tired of dub cork 10/12 high mute.

yeah i defiantly like slope alot better and i think its harder to put a super solid run together than doing one trick in a big air comp (not saying the tricks they re doing arnt insanely technical and hard as fuck)

Either super steezy dub cork like 7s/9s or screamin semen into dub corks/flips...maybe triples but people will hate and say it's aerials like they did with doubles a few years back.

i've been waiting for this trick to be thrown. I would also like to see more dub cork 9s like the one dane threw in EDIAS or switch dub rodeo 9s and switch dub backs.
