Crazy POC Boots

I havnt seen any threads on this, but here are some "revolutionary" POC boots supposedly to give a more comfortable fit like a snowboard boot.
Idk if these are just a concept boot, but does anyone have any info on production, or sales of these.

Even though they kinda look like storm trooper boots i kinda want to try them out.

Oh and i figured this would get more traffic over here in Ski Gabber
but mods feel free to move to Gear Talk

if they were legit we would have seen footy by now. those pics could be renderings.

the idea of suspension in a boot is the next step in freestyle skiing. if you dont agree, you havent pushed the limit of the ski boot like others have. if you want to ollie and press, you have to bend your knees. a boot like this will allow a new and radical motion for the first time. getting it right could take the next decade.
these boots will probably fail. rocker bindings dont.

the only problem i se is that theres not really much in front of the tong so maybe to flexy idk?

It doesn't look like they're very waterproof, at all. But I am glad to see something new in boots. I'll definitely try them on given the chance.

It looks alot like an AT boot, I doubt these are park boots or tha POC even releases one the same year they get into the boot market.

I'd be a little concerned about cutting the wire when doing any kind of cross, I've sold a ton of snowboard boots that use the boa system and its crap

thats fukin sick! looks like a cross between a full tilt and a snowboard boot. they look realllllyy flexible tho and i can see how they just wouldn't work... but it would be sick if they did.

if you get your ski boots fitted properly they wont hurt.not to mention they probaly flex like crazy which isnt good if want control ov3er your skis

These boots were in the Swedish magazine "Åka Skidor" a few months ago. Apparently they're the result of a design-study or something that a student in Sweden did. So it's not even a concept-boot, it is a school project. And he just put the POC-logo on them because if he thought; if POC would make boots, this is what they would be like. So they're not POC-boots. Unfortunately.

Great bump. Unfortunately this seems like another somewhat promising prototype that never made the leap to full production. Ski boot innovation seems like a tough nut to crack.

Walk mode is not a stupid gaper feature. Not saying this is a touring boot, but if you ever go into the backcountry you'll want a walk mode, weather for skinning, post holing or for snow shoeing its super useful. Its an interesting design, i wont be buying it as it looks like it would break and not be very good on anything but mellow groomers.
