Crazy POC Boots

I havnt seen any threads on this, but here are some "revolutionary" POC boots supposedly to give a more comfortable fit like a snowboard boot.
Idk if these are just a concept boot, but does anyone have any info on production, or sales of these.

Even though they kinda look like storm trooper boots i kinda want to try them out.

Oh and i figured this would get more traffic over here in Ski Gabber

sooooooooooooo many moving parts, those are gonna break. Too many dials and strings and shit. Fulltilts are on the edge of having too many moving parts, but these have way too many.

Without having handled them or tried them on, this sounds kinda dumb, but fuq the haters.

Those boots look like they could be great. If you think about it, they have less moving parts that most boots. The only thing that looks really week is the flex adjust mechanism in the back.

They are POC, so they will be quality. When was the last time a anyone tried to really do anything that different with boots? Although all this tech has been done before, it's been pretty half assed, and this is a pretty big leap from the conventional time tested boot all at once.

I ski a four buckle boot, fks bindings, and fiberglass wrap wood core, sidewall skis. there's something to be said for time-tested things that just work, but that doesn't mean it's bad to try and make new things happen.

they look like gaper rear entry boots with a POC design...
seems like they are more confort oriented than performance...
they have stupid rich gaper shiity features like walk mode and adjustable flex...

A it's spelled coMfort, not coNfort.  Plus, walk modes and adjustable flex aren't for gapers.  Those features are usually for alpine touring bindings so when you skin up a mountain your feet don't kill, and also in places like Europe you want a walk mode because of the layout of the resorts.  Look at companies like Black Diamond.  Just because you don't use them doesn't mean that they're for gapers.

talk to me about a product from poc that is overpriced... yeaah, their stuff is expensive. it's also the best equipment available so you get what you pay for , whether it's the safest helmet or the best goggles. poc is one of the most legit brands in wintersports.

but hey, if you wanna buy boots and helmets based on what they look like then be my guest.

those look sooooooo sick. but as for ski performance, i really cant imagine it as a high performance boot. just look how little material attaches the upper cuff to the lower shell, thats gonna flex like crazy laterally. plus it has a walk mode, which is for people who suck. besides, soft boots have been done before, and they just arnt very good. plastic shells work so well because the entire foot is supported, a soft boot cant do that. besides, boots are comfy as fuck if they are fitted right.

they do look sick tho, and if im wrong, id be stoked to try some

also, I do REALLY like the idea of being able to tighten them from one spot on the toe, thatd be awesome. no more pullin your pant cuffs up. but yea, these have GOT to be a rec book, not a hardcore one.

I kinda like the idea, but that dial does look like it would last very long, and the flex adjustment isn't really necessary. For the amount they'll (probably charge) they could do with making a couple different fixed flex like FT...

And who cares what they look like? unless your hiking rails, they'll be under your pants anyway...

gonna have to wait to see which prews get them, and i'm not sure if they'll match with my afterbangs/gsuit/magicsuit/crowbars. boots are entirely a fashion statement fuck new technology, GOSH cant be lookin ugly to all my bros on the hill!

i think they look actually cool but they look to have some similarities to full tilts. They look to much of a robotic boots. I'd try it.

So whack not tryin to rock a storm trooper boot with a built in suspension system, POC is whack and just like when rossignol tried to make a ski boot with laces all these boots will end up in a rental shack at some shit mountain in NJ.
