Blackberry users

So im about to head over to the verizon store to get a new phone. I want  BB but im not sure if I want to pay the extra internet cost on top of my already high bill. Im a college student with an apartment bill each month so im running low on cash. What do you guys pay a month for internet?

It's $29.99/month for the data plan. No exceptions. It sucks, I was in the same position as you a couple of weeks ago but its not worth it to me. The same goes for all phones capable of getting internet.

no worries buddy. It's an extra 29.99 for the unlimited data plan i believe. I'm not sure if you can get less than unlimited for less cost per month but when you have some free time just go over to a verizon store and ask them. usually there's at least one chill guy around who will understand that not everybody can drop a ton of money but still could benefit from the uses of a blackberry.

But I will say that if you only want one because it's cool and a lot of people seem to have them these days, wait till you're out of school or until you really need it. I didn't get one until I graduated and started my job and I definitely make full use of it now.

if you're goin to college then don't get one. Save the money for spending money.. I recently got the blackberry tour, and it's pretty sick but definitely not worth the $100 / month. I'm going to sell it and just got a nice env3 or something.

The only phone worth that kinda money is the iPhone, and it's still overly expensive if you ask me.

Your Tour is 10x better than the iPhone.  trust me.  I work with at&t.  The only good thing about the iPhone is there marketing.

Don't know if this will work for Verizon, but I have an unlimited everything plan for ~$52.00 a month and that includes a $7.00 warranty. The plan would normally be around $85.00. I will never buy another phone by just going into the store and getting one of those plans. Call up customer service, and ask to speak to the retention department. You may have to spend a few hours on the phone with them, but just whine about how long you've been with them, how much you spend and that you'd like to stay with them, but if they can't beat plans that other companies have offered, you're willing to go elsewhere with your business. It may work, it may not but its worth a shot.

idk man the apps for blackberry are really weak, and the internet browsing is awful. I think in terms of smartphones (based on playing around on iPhons and touch') there is no comparison.

So I decided against the blackberry. Its not worth it for me at all on top of my rent and monthly bills. Dont get me wrong its the sickest phone ive ever messed around with but 30 bucks a month on top of everything else is not worth it. I got the envy3. i would way rather spend an extra 30 bucks on more beer per month.
