X-Ski Films

This is fucking rediculous, a bunch of cross-country skiers (mostly Junior Olympics team members) made this movie, of FREESTYLE cross-country skiing. Here are some pics from the site...





and they're doing this stuff on skinny ass cross country racing skis (if you've ever tried a pair out, they you know just how flimsy they feel).

the hardcore-ness of that pic pales in comparison to the hardcore-ness of that XC backflip.... it can't even be quantified it's so hardcore!

i may have seen that movie, or at least one like it...and by the way, its just like skiing on tele's, minus the edges. so if they can tele, it is just a bit more difficult to be able to do tricks on x-country skis as well.

that shit's pretty crazy. i dont understand why they dont jsut do it on normal skis though. i mean, the cross country thing makes it seem kinda gay

yeah i think i have seen somthin like that before this guy was doin like rodeos and stuff and was kicking his skis while he was doin it it was weird to see cuz any other time the skis just stay flat on ur feet

its NOT the asme as teles. The boots make it sooooooo hard to land they are al flimsy, not to mention the skis themselves which are so light its insane to actually be able to go off a jhump with them, let alone spin and shit., I can do 360 son the ground with them but its so hard to land, thats insae.

you think that's hardcore? i saw a couple of disabled skiers (the ones in the sit down chairs with the ski attached to the bottom) go into the halfpipe at winter park this season.....one of them even go so high on the wall that he ate it and i had to put his ski back on his contraption

that reminds me of my cross country ski trip in grade 10 when we made a jump at the bottom of the hill and killed ourselves repetadly on account of we forgot to have a landing... we were stupid kids. good times.

im on the nordic team at my school and we build kickers some times. it's hardcore shit. my friends can stick 3s and the occaisional 5, but it's so hard. You're landing on skis that are about 60mm underfoot with soft boots. its nasty

10 foot cliffs are not impessive at all.....mabye they would if they were in a big line or something but just dropping a 10 foot cliff with nothing continuing it, is not impressive.
