Utah resorts are LAZY

Colorado resorts have about just as much snow if not more. Brighton 35 days, Snowbird like 42 days. pc isn't lazy but they don't get that much snow. so wtf

yeah. but all your resorts are 4 to 5 hours away from a major city. ours are only 20 - 45 minutes. 18 if you live closer to the mountains. go compare

this post makes no sense, and neither do the responses.

the reason CO resorts are open is because their high altitude allows them to make snow way before anyone else. and the reason any resort opens before christmas is because of man-made snow. natural snow doesn't create a solid base.

Why put in some outrageous snow making system when it snows 500 inches a year?  Utah might not get up and running as fast, but it has so many pros versus CO's cons.
CO is fucking freezing all the time in Summit from what i've seen... = snowmaking. 
Utah never gets that cold around the resorts, and mid season when we're skiing knee deep powder every day and CO people are still on the same base they had from snowmaking earlier in the season... then see what's up. 
utah over CO any day, all the time.

we dont need to open ONE trail as a gimmic (sp?) here. We will get our 700 inches and we will have the best pow in the continental US. Why rush opening and waste money when resorts can spend it on other shit. All the Colorado resorts are this time of year is 6000 people waiting in lift lines for 2 hours to hike all day. We can drive 20 minutes from our houses, be in snow just as good and have sessions with our friends. Utah FTW
