now i'm probably going to get some flak for believing in global warming...hopefully not, but regardless of your view point on it please hear me out...
so at the end of last season i was pretty perturbed with the thought of global warming in regards to how moguls are stored. now from what i understand most resorts out west can store their moguls in some of the 'back bowls' as they are colder than the frontside and other areas of the mountain. i know that in the past summer temperatures have not been much of a concern due to the amount of moguls stored. in my last season skiing i did notice that mogul numbers seemed to be lower, and previously bumped out runs were mysteriously always uniform and smooth. now i went skiing today at a basin and there were hardly any moguls present, usually on opening day they pull a few out of the back for us jibbers to launch off of. it really was a disappointment that there weren't any sweet mogul kickers to hit today, but how much of that is due to global warming?
this is just a thought i've been kicking around since last may or so. i hope you guys may have some ideas, recommendations, or any other similar views. please share them, and hopefully someone can allow my worrisome self to relax and get some sleep before the temps finally get back to normal.
