Fighting a speeding ticket

I got clocked going 40 in a 25 this morning, dick cop gave me a 140$ ticket. im obviously going to court to try and save my insurance from becoming impossible to pay (im turning 17 in a week so im at the highest risk category). any advice/tips on what to do/not to do in court? anyone fight a traffic violation before?

Advice:

-Don't drive 15 mph over the speed limit!
-Cops aren't dicks because they're doing their job.
-Grow the fuck up and accept responsibility for your actions. You're going to hate life if you don't learn that quick!

We are gonna sound like dicks, but fuck man.  He isn't a dick for giving you a ticket when you were going 15 over in a 25 zone.  You are a fucking idiot and honestly almost anything you do I doubt the judge will do anything, he will probably make you pay the whole thing.

I got another ticket last week, I was 50ft from the "55" sign but still inside the 35 doing 50.
the cop was doing the whole tailgating on the white line so I cant see him BS and slamed on his brakes to turn around.

So I took off and got away, stayed at a friends house for a bit then headed back for campus, the fucker was waiting for me. Got my truck stripped down, but neither me or my friend would admit to seeing him turn around. So he didnt arrest me.

He asked to search and I said I didnt consent but he said that he was in pursuit of a crime "fleeing and eluding" so that was probable cause. I was clean so no worries but it took up 2hrs of my day.



** Write a letter to your DA they may reduce it but you have to plead guilty to be eligible.

yes i know i know 15 is too much, and i completely agree with all of you that its my fault.. i honestly thought it was a 35mph road and i guess thats why im pissed.. ^^ thanks for the guide should help

well being that he got a ticket, i think we can assume he wrote him up for what he was doing...

police officer pulls johnny over
johnny seems to be a respectable kid
police officer write him up for 60 in a 55
