Dont know shit about lenses!!!!!

Im in the process of buying a Hv30 and plan on buying a fish eye or wide angle lens... But my problem is i have no idea what all these numbers mean when i look for lenses... for example can someone elaborate off this example of this lens and tell me what each of these numbers mean??? thanks sorry im a newb to the whole camera world


52mm 0.66x SUPER WIDE ANGLE LENS

52mm is your thread size..

.66x tells you how wide the lens is.. The smaller the number the more you will be able to see throught the lens.

Get a lens with a 43mm thread, that way it will match your HV30 without a converter.

so the samller the number (,66x) the wider the view is ???

so basically a good fisheye has a low number????

No, the smaller the number the wider the lens.
How wide it is doesn't affect how good it is. A kenko .3x won't compare to a Century .3x
