15-20 cm from Tree line to summit. The Ground is well frozen, making
travel easy by foot. The Glacier would have been easier to ascend with
crampons. We skirted the ice on some sketchy rocks to access the top of
the ice field. The Glacier has opened up a bit more than I last
remembered, and there are significant crevasses Skiers Right, below the
Peak. A long Vertical crevasse divides the glacier down the middle, the
(skiers) left hand aspect of the glacier appears to be free of any
significant crevasses, and is the aspect we skied.
no, that 70 is legit. I was up there yesterday when it was dumping and their site said 35. It looked like 2ft in the parking lot. I think this is more snow than they opened with last year.
So just got back from Malakwa. They are plowing the FSR up to 18km ... at least. must have a VHF radio... active haul, lots of trucks week days. 5 ft of snow, but the to 10-15 kept breaking off.
