I cant tell if my skis are center mounted or not. Told the ski tech to center mount them but they look too far back. I need to know if I need to remount. I dont know if its just how the bindings look or what it is.
kk this is what u have to do clip in your boot and take a picture of the side wall close to the middle of you boot, and than take a picture close to the binding so we can see the moutinting points.
shop techs hear "Center mount" and put it at the middle of the balance point, or "core center," which is slightly back from the center that you are thinking. you need to say "true center," that refers to the center of the length
always always always measure where you want your skis mounted and draw a line before you bring them to the shop. you will never have this confusion, you will say mount here.
yeah, the way most bindings are on skis, they never look center mounted, but it's especially true with Griffons because the nose piece is so short and the heel piece is so long. I had to look at mine a few times before I was sure.
