lookin into getting a new one..... any suggestions i currently have a shitty non name-brand HD camera that is pre zoomed-in which is really gay for follow cams because you have to be super far away to get the shot...

i was thinking about the canon HD 20

completely guessing, but if you want cheap/follow cams then you could look for a canon gl2, handle cam, mini dv, pretty solid, goes for pretty cheap used


but thats just guessing

i found a Gl2 in craigs list for 700 but they are pretty out dated and old and dont have HD... is there any handle cams under 1000???

any camera with a tripod mount can have a handle. just make one.

i have and its not the same... i want it more weighted and i want bigger lens... most handle cams have large lens that you can interchange for fish eye

you can put a fisheye on ANY camera with threads.

You are NOT going to get an HD prosumer camera for under 1000 dollars...MAYBE an FX7 if your lucky (or not lucky because that camera sucks).

Either save up more or lower your standards.

or get an HV30, make a handle, and buy both a wide angle(raynox makes good ones) and a fisheye.
