The teams were set last night as the Twins won in won of the best games ever and the first games are tonight. What are your predictions? I'd love to see Twins-Cardinals but that probably won't happen nad it will most likely be Yankees-Cardinals.

This is what I am hoping for as well.

I personally don't see the Twins getting past the Yankees but at the same time I see it being probably a 7 game series.

I'm gonna have to say this is the year for A - Rod to win the penant and the Yankees to reclaim the prize. Even though I hate New York and it's about time they put their millions of dollars to use. They should've held on to Joe Torre.

haha i had a 3 hour class last night and our break started right about when the ninth inning started on the twins game. the teacher told us to be back in 15 minutes. well half the class was like ten minutes late back to class.

I dont know if anyone else watched the twins game tonight but once again the umpires totally fucked everything up, in regards to Mauer's should have been ground rule double which would have put them up 4-3. Stevie wonder could have made that call blindfolded while facing home plate. Fuck the yankees.

umpires have blown at least three definitive rulings that were all game changers. One in each game i have watched, its ridiculous. honestly i don't think i can watch anymore, its like watching a bad soccer or football game

no don't blame that shit on the umpire i don't give a fuck. it was clearly fair but that has nothing to do with it.

i'm from minnesota one of the biggest twins/baseball fans you will find.

who ever said they should go back to the farm teams is completely right on the dot.

i was at the tie breaker...amazing game but we stand no chance against any teams.

first off...who the fuck strands 17 runners on base in one game? thats right the twins holy shit?!!?! nobody is clutch at all. Who strikes out 7 times in two games...thats right jason kubel....who can't hit a ball with runners on base and only gets a hit when he leads off the inning....joe mauer....who the fuck can't come in and do his job and get 3 fucking outs like he did 47 other times during the regular season thats right...joe nathan....who is the dumbass who should not even be in the majors who gets caught off rounding second when he should have been staying no matter what....thats right...carlos gomez....i hope the twins get destroyed on sunday and get out of the playoffs because all they do is embarrass themselves and minnesota.

I don't really follow baseball, but didn't the Red Sox get shut out by the Angels last night? My good friends tripped down to L.A. today to go to the game, he's a huge Red Sox fan. Personally, I hope the Angels beat the Red Sox and advance on. I think a Red Sox Dodgers game would be pretty cool just because all of L.A. would be going crazy. It would be pretty similar to the A's Giants game back when the earthquake happened.

You mean Angles and Dodgers.  Could def happen.  All the hype is usually about the two New York teams facing off or the two Chicago maybe.  LA fans just aren't as serious as a lot of other cities.  If the dodgers suck they'll move on and hope Kobe doesn't rape a bitch on his way to another championship.  I just hope the Red Sox can pull this series out.  The Bills suck, I need something to cheer about for another month until the Nuggets start playing.

seriously dude i am, and i just had to vent that shit because it doesn't just make me made it rips my heart out (no homo) because i've never gotten to see a minnesota team win a championship (i mean i was 2 when the twins won the world series in 91') some day a minnesota team will beat some east or west coast power house and i'll get to tell espn and the nation to suck it for over looking them all year long...but god damn when they make simple mistakes like that i have no right to do it, if they manage to win on sunday it is a miricale. if they manage to win both games at the dome i will cry tears of joy...probably only to follow with tears of defeat when they fly back to new york.

O i feel your pain forsure, Im a rockies fan and the as far as im concerned were the most similar teams in the series. Plus im a huge twins fan considering the fact that all 42 of cousins aunts and unlces live in MN.

yea that wouldbe an epic series cause we could tell those ESPN pricks to stfu and live with it. Pretty much every prediction theyve made about the rocks theyve been wrong. There predictions are based off there audience, and since more people live on the east and west coast, theyre going to suck those teams dicks more. Wu-Tang couldnt of said it better, Cash Rules Everything Around Me, cause the money is what it ultimatley comes down to, which is pethetic in broadcasting sports. even though im glued to sports center, id like to say fuck you ESPN. Rockies, Broncos, Nuggets, and maybe, just maybe the Avs will prove you wrong. Denver sports FTW.

yeah thats the big thing about espn they favor the coasts and its because of the money and the viewership. i am going to school for broadcasting (sports broadcast/playbyplay to be exact) and i hope to be on national tv some day and to try to change that...i call playbyplay for a local junior hockey team on the radio right now, and i love my home team but im still not bias on air it just bothers me and tbs announcers are so bias as well...i don't get it i guess, one part of being a fan of the underdogs.

Even for teams on the coast they can get ignored.  Players can get ignored.  Like Ichiro, the man is a fucking badass, always a real good hitter, and a damn good outfielder.  But, he plays for the Mariners. So you never hear about him.  If he were playing for Yankees, Dodgers, Cards, Red Sox or any other team ESPN and TBS guys would be swooning over him.

They give credit where credit is due if you ask me. Everyone sucks ichiro's dick (as they should), it isn't the broadcaster's fault that he plays for a sub-par team, that won't get that much coverage. It's not about the coasts either, it's about where they best teams are, and the best teams in pretty much every sport are on the coasts, besides like the col avs who get the representation that they deserve. Don't get mad cause the mid-west sucks (just playing, but not really).

And the yankees better fucking win.
