Speech topics

Well I have to write a 6minute speech explaining a process. It can really be anything but I"m stumped on what to write on. I would like it to be interesting and not about skiing since I've already talked once about skiing. So if anyone has ideas or examples of speeches explaining a process please let me know. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds pretty good because you have a big choice.

I would go for something simple and interesting, maybe like how a football is made, from start to finish. Then you would be able to talk about child labour at the same time and have something to get the people listening.

I remember a thread like this a while ago that had some great ideas and topics in it.

For my speech classes in highschool and college, I would come up with the most rediculous topics. I remember doing a speeches on dryer sheet, sporks vs spoons, glue in a bottle vs a glue stick... It kept people interested in the topic and showed that I could take a odd thing be creative. So my advice is try to think of something odd and go with it. Like how are tube socks made, how t-shirts are made (you can get into the new fad of Tall Ts, screen printing, fiber, shirts of the past...), how are snorkels made, how are super balls made, how one would make a mini volcano at home (cheesy but you can make it funny)...

How the stock market works.
  -a literal explanation of the buying and selling processes (standard brokers, internet brokers, floor brokers)

How a treasury auction works

How the oil trade works (the cycle of petrodollars)

How an ad campaign works (product, focus groups, marketing, advertisement etc)

How a feature advertisement works (BMW films, shows like The City, The Hills etc.)

How a Credit-Default-Swap works (guaranteed to impress your prof if you do it right.

Read this book and explain "Metaphorming" (VERY interesting)
