OK, the US has a pretty strong arm but these other countries are better to live in hence the title of the article "Top countries to Live in." A country can be powerful and have all the technology in the world and still not be advanced in ways of handling it's government, people, and money. This is why the US is 13th, because we fail at allocating our resources/ governing effectivly and therefore we are 13th. We still can kick ass in War if thats what ur into

ok im going to shoot down your arguments against Australia. and i have a less biased opinion based on the fact that i lived both in America and Australia.

-more obese people by percentage... and they aren't winning by very far. there is still more obese people in america.

-higher taxes... hmm wonder what happens with that money? goes back to the people? I can tell you far less of it goes to fucking wars "against terrorism"

-bans on random stuff: cool?.. you can drink at 18.. that outweighs any ban. pehaps one of those bans is the ban against firearms, or the limitation, which I personally see as a very good thing.


On top of that Chinese food in Australia is about 10 times better, if you can imagine that.

Unfortunately for Australia, the hype about freestyle skiing is non existent and there they didn't even build jumps bigger than 20 feet at the resort i go to. but "one hit wonder" is a step in a positive direction. also the lack of decent snow kinda contributes.

But this thread isn't about that that. Just accept that some other countries are better at few things than you, and by these standards other countries have better living conditions. If you're such a better country than the rest of the world you would be able to learn from these other countries and better your own country's education, healthcare and housing.

after finishing reading the rest of the comments I would have to say that I live in Arizona... so my view of America as a country is skewed....negatively

I think if they just measured oregon or colorado, those individual states would rank higher. Who ever said if they divided the states was right

In Australia... sure there is deadly shit... But I am pretty sure Americans know more about those things thanks to TV, than Australians do. Over there is just like what ever, and you know to bring a stick when you walk in the country.

Kangaroos: I lived in the city... do you live in the city? there is no kangaroos in the city. only out in the hills, similar to deer, except there isn't any of them that are chill and like to sit in your backyard, like some deer.

About the cost of living, yes it is higher, but you get paid more... its kinda wierd... it costs twice as much to live and you get paid twice as much.. but the austalian dollar is worth .81 us dollars. something is wierd.

and the reason i bring up these inventions is because without them, you wouldnt have the living conditions you have in norway, ireland, etc. all those socialist european nations get shit done, and just copy and buy what americans develop and china produces. without the US, you wouldnt be in the situation youre in
